Finding a Purpose in Life Should Be Your Ultimate Goal
If it seems like finding a purpose in life has been very difficult for you, and you don't really know what it is you're supposed to be doing with your life, or the direction of your business, then now is the time to define "what it is, YOUR about".
Even more important, before you can really follow a business path and truly feel fullfilled within your heart, you need to know your ultimate life purpose and feel it deep within your soul.
Let me give you an example, when I was young, around 17 years of age, I began working in a store type environment cutting industrial gaskets a job that I less than enjoyed, nonetheless I did that job for 9 years.
And if it wasn't for those 9 years, I would never have learnt to love the job I'm doing, until the job I loved come along... And I did attract it into my life, here's how.
Those 9 years of hard work in the store, I studied metaphysics books, computer books, attended Toastmasters International to learn how to speak in public and raise my business savvy, as well as learning from live training seminars, Audios and DVD's.
During this time, I had no idea that I was finding a purpose in life, a purpose that wouldn't show itself to me until several years later.
I began my entreprenuerial endevours walking the streets after I finished working in the store at 4pm each day, basically knocking on doors and drumming up business for a printing business I created from home. My niche was to print small quantities of business cards for startup companies just moving into shops in the area I worked.
And due to the area having as many shops closing as new ones opening up, I was easily able to get new repeat business regularly. While doing this, each time I thought I was finding a purpose in life, and I was, but it was a temporary role, but a vital one for my growth.
Over time this business grew, and when I got my first large order (a lot larger than I could print on my tiny home printer), I had to go to an outside supplier and contract the job to them as a wholesaler, and I did quite nicely out of that, as there was a lot of profit in full colour business printing back then, it's a very competitive field now though.
At the age of 22 (while still doing my printing business) I became involved in an MLM company, not entirely knowing what they were about and completely naive and no experience. But the lessons I learned about selling, being more polished as a person, and developing spiritually. Due to the extensive training that the MLM style companies supply for you, which is fantastic for helping their enrolee's in finding a purpose in life.
Both of those ideas weren't pursued, and later at the age of 24 I thought I wanted to be an IT expert, so I learnt about technical certifications and bought 3 old computers, pulled them apart and put them back together, as well as installing all sorts of software and testing them.
At the age of 25 (after 3 attempts at asking for a rise in my job position in my store job, and being denied) I applied for a brand new, no experience, new sales development position with a major leading IT company here in my city... And I got the position out of 100 others, who were way more experienced than me.
I thought I was finding a purpose in life by leaving my store job and landing a great dress up, hit the road IT sales job. And it was great for 2 years, which over that time I learnt so, so much about writing proposals, dealing with massive government departments and technical directors.
Basically, I thought I would love the professional life, but with hardly any traing except a 2 day sales course and my own intense studies, I found out that this wasn't my life purpose.
So after 2 years, and at the age 27 my partnership with that particular company come to an end and I left.
Now they say when you close one door, another 3 open up, and in this case 1 of those doors was open immediately, and I walked straight into a store managers job, 1 block down the road from my previous job, as a small home / office computer store.
The pace was more my style, and I could put my own style and flair into this business, as it was basically only me and 2 others there... A lot different from my previous 40 plus employee company who I worked with.
It was during this time that finding a purpose in life became evident for me, more and more. In my search one day online for a better way to sell and cold call on the phone, I found a program by the name of Unlock The Game and it's founder Ari Galper. Ari is a brilliant and very humble sales master, I think of him as a sales "Guru" in every sense of the word. I purchased his program and he called me 5 minutes after I placed my order online, he lived in California at the time, and here I was in Newcastle Australia and this sales master calling to thank me... You can imagine my delight!!
From this point forward a fantastic friendship developed between me and Ari, and over time he ended up moving to Sydney Australia, where he now lives with his family and 2 little boys. I jumped at the chance to go and have a coffee with him to learn more when he came here, and to my surprise he invited me down to see them... Could this be the begining of finding a purpose in life for me? (let me give you a hint, it was!!).
After 2 years or so of working with that IT company, and growing their sales a good 33.4% each year (thanks to Ari's help and other research on my own), I was once again developing another entrepreneurial calling, which was helping newbies on their computer, which I absolutely loved, I could package my lessons with people when I delivered their computers and they loved it.
As I had developed a DVD called "EziLern" which basically showed beginners step-by-step how to use their comptuer from scratch, to an intermediate level, which was leveraging me and my time, as I'd already booked myself to the max and couldn't do any more from my own time.
I one day, called into a very switched on small computer / office store, and spoke to the owner and he asked me "what are you doing?" and when I told him, he said what are you doing working for that other store, come and work with me for a good percentage more... So I took it!
Well I only stayed with my new, modern and awesome to work with company for 3 months, and then the day of my dreams finally manifested (something I'd been dreaming of since I was around 21 years old), I was offered a job to work with a modern day guru... Ari Galper from Unlock The Game offered me a job as a sales coach for his company... I was doing backflips in my loungeroom that day after I got off the phone, not only did I get a new job, I recieved a lifestyle of living from home, a million dollar education from a guru sales master, and an awesome remuneration package... Plus meeting many fantastic new people from all walks of life around the world.
To this day I'm still working with Ari, but nowadays, I'm as much his advisor as he is mine, and have created my own coaching company called Cre8tive Marketing Services Pty Ltd. A spiritually based company that does online and offline marketing, business coaching and life coaching for entreprenuers, around the laws of attraction and universal laws. Finding a purpose in life, can be great fun and bring you unbelievable rewards.
Ari's company more than doubled the first year I began helping him, and after that it doubled again and it was just me and him back then... Now he has over 9 virtual staff all around the world and he lives in a beautiful home in Sydney working from his office there.
Since then, I've become more and more aware of finding a purpose in life. And realize I'm living my purpose right now, I've been gifted from the universe a number of excellent mentors, spiritual and sales coaches and experts to learn and work with personally, and the doors keep opening faster and faster the more aware and open I become to it, absolutely amazing.
Who says the laws of attraction and manifestation don't work!!
In ending this little story on finding a purpose in life, I want to explain the dynamics in how this all came about in my life and how you can manifest the same in yours, becuase I did nothing special at all in finding a purpose in life for myself.
All along, I could vision myself working as a master sales and life coach myself, it was like an inkling inside my tummy and mind that I couldn't work out where it come from.
These little inklings and "whispers" from the universe as I like to call them are the universe talking to you and letting you know the future of where your destiny lies. And if you focus on these and then act on the whispers, backing them up with study and relentless faith and study, pursuing and finding a purpose in life, it will eventually show up in one form or another.
You'll know if you're following the wrong path or not, because over the course of finding a purpose in life, you'll discover roadblocks, dead ends, hardships and inklings that you're not on the right path if the universe doesn't want you to be there.
On the ohter hand, if you are, things will flow so easily and you'll find your way, by just surrendering to the invisible will of the universe and then taking the action and sacrificing in your actions and life, to get where it is you ultimately will end up.
So I guess, from my experience that you shouldn't push in your efforts to finding a purpose in life. Just surrender to the universes purpose for you, be quiet within yourself, meditate daily or as often as you can, and allow your purpose to come to you... It will, so have fun during your journey towards finding it and watching and experiencing the unfolding of your life purpose.
