Using Email Internet Marketing and Auto-Responders to Maximse Marketing Reach
You’ve probably heard of email internet marketing, but how many businesses know how to use it to create an additional layer of revenue and willing to buy warm prospects?
My guess is “not many,” as many businesses aren’t as up to speed with email internet marketing as are other mainstream on-line marketers. However, I'm betting that once you know how to implement and effectively use this form of marketing and understand how you can use it to gain an advantage over your competitors and significantly increase your earning capacity, that you’ll adopt it as one of your most important strategies.
But before we dig into the finer areas of email internet marketing let’s define what’s involved! In a nutshell, email internet marketing in it’s most effective form is a system that provides automatic email responses to prospects requesting information from you; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. They do this with one of the most “underused and under-estimated” online marketing tools available… The autoresponder.
With an auto responder you can set up your email internet marketing messages once, and from then on you'll be able to provide automatic follow up until you program it to stop.
I’ve setup and shown many businesses how to use auto responders in many different businesses since I began consulting as a specialist strategic online marketer in 2005, and have used them to grow email subscriber lists from none to more than 35,000 people interested in my clients information and services. We’ve used both online specialized opt-in forms used as a Free Test Drive, which delivers text, audio and video lessons via an automated email service to “Awesome” effect.
Admittedly, there are faster growing lists than many of my clients, and faster ways to grow those lists. However, I am okay with adding a few hundred more leads per month is better than a fast haphazard approach. In many cases it’s not how many leads you get in your list, it’s “What You Do With Them” after they come into your database that counts and there’s a whole back end system which is what I teach people, with specialized precision when they consult with me.
Useful ways to implement an auto responder.
Imagine this! It’s early AM and you’re fast asleep. But your auto responder, like the good virtual secretary it is, has just received another email internt marketing request from a prospect wanting a copy of your free report / audio / test drive trial, that you’re offering to first time lookers at your product. And in less time than it takes to blink an eye it emails a copy of the report to each party that signs up.
Congratulations! You’ve just secured the best kind of lead there is – somebody who has contacted you for additional information. And, they just provided you with all the information you need to provide adequate follow up; phone number, email address, etc.
So, now you can get to doing what other highly successful email internet marketing students are doing – following up until you make a sale. However, you’re doing it automatically, while other agents are plugging away one misery inducing cold call after another.
Practical uses of an auto responder.
It’s pretty much accepted as fact that it can take up to 7 times of contacting someone before they do business with you. Still, many businesses are applying old practices of selling to a fast paced society without any automation whatsoever; no web site, no auto responder, and certainly no email internet marketing! It’s a game they can’t win and may soon be out of business because of it!
You, on the other hand, are reading this article and may see the plausibility of this idea and how you can use it to your advantage.
Take the following idea, for example. Let’s say you’re business is in real estate, and in this example you want to target first time home buyers living in high end apartment complexes, and your theme is “buy for the same as rent.” Do you think renters paying $1,800 to $2,500, or even $1,000 a month for that matter might be interested in buying homes if the mortgage payments are the same as their rent fees? Let's see how using an email internet marketing strategy could help, mainly in the form of an auto-responder.
Here’s what you need to do to capitalize on it! Sign up easily online, for an email internet marketing service, called an auto-responder and set up a special report that you will deliver in a series of 7 emails over 7 days. You’ll actually be able to send as many email reports as you like in whatever intervals you choose. On top of this, a secret strategy that allows you to call your leads from the internet is by adding a field to your opt-in form that asks them to expand on their situation, and if they want further ideas around this, asking them to leave their phone number. I know from experience that a great amount of vistors to your site will be delighted to get a live call from a “specialist” (NOT A SALESPERSON) to talk about their situation further… But “No Pressure” ok, otherwise you lose credibility and trust.
Include in each email message report your contact information, so that when prospects are wanting personal attention they have the opportunity to call you (in case they never left their number in the original form), or email you at your main email address.
Your Special Report could look something like this:
1. First Lesson: Ten “No-No’s” For The Home Buyer
2. Second Lesson: Ten Tips For The First Time Home Buyer
3. Third Lesson: Ten Common Mistakes People Make When
Buying A Home
4. Fourth Lesson: FHA Loans: What Are They And Do You Qualify?
5. Fifth Lesson: Title Insurance: Do You Need It? What Is It?

*You can find these and other reports as a separate bundle of 50 Power Letters, or as a 275 Letter Mega pack. All of them can also be used as articles, reports and web site content. Follow the links below to learn more about them.
Next, mail flyers, letters, or post cards to the targeted tenants informing them of your special report where they can “Buy For The Same As Rent” (this is assuming you had an address field in your opt-in form, which is a good idea, just be sure to let them know you’ll be sending them a free special report on top of the email lessons). By implementing offline and online campaigns into your email internet marketing strategy is "essential".
In your opt-in form, be sure to tell the readers that they can get a FREE copy of your report, which is to be delivered via email in 7 parts and in 7 days, by filling out the opt-in form you create and have on your website (this is very easy to do, or have done if your not technically savvy, it’s easy to find tech guru’s at www.guru.com or www.elance.com and at very low hourly rates, but I’ve gone a step ahead, if you need someone to help you with this, I have a tech team who does all my tech and online work and can give you their number, just contact me in the form provided below for further help). Once they fill out your form the entire series of reports will be automatically emailed to them. You won’t have to lift even a finger again to send them.
Then, get ready for some business. Prospects will sign up for your email course because they want the information, and they like being able to get it without being pushed. Then, when they’re ready, they’ll call or email you for additional information (or may have given you permission to contact them to help them further). When they do you’ll know that they’re serious about moving forward with the idea of buying a home or whatever other product or service your offering.
Here’s another email internet marketing idea using auto responders.
Take the same idea above and apply it to newspaper ads, but you can vary the theme by prospect. There are reports available for all of them.
Taking our real estate example again, look in your real estate classified ads for any ads similar to the one described above. My bet is you won’t find many, and you may not find any! Why? Because real estate agents, for the most part, are still marketing real estate the old way; get a listing, place an ad; get another listing, place another ad. And agents with no listings usually don’t ever advertise at all!
But you can change all of that and dominate your market with an effective email internet marketing presence and auto responder service, which is kind of like traditional real estate marketing in reverse. However, the routine with it is to get a prospect, get another prospect and even more prospects and establish relationships with them over a series of communications, then close them on deals!
Auto responders range from FREE (Not Recommended) to $40.00 or so a month.
The free ones are loaded with ads that you have no control over. So, be forewarned that you’ll come across as tacky and unprofessional if you use them permanently. However, a FREE one is a great way to get a sense of what they can do. You can always upgrade to a paid subscription and have the ads removed later on.
My auto-responder called “Get Response” costs $17.98 a month and is one that I wholeheartedly recommend. But there are others which are very good, the main 2 others worth looking at are Aweber.com and ConstantContact.com.
The "Get Response" auto-esponder service comes with:
• Unlimited auto responders
• Personalization of emails
• Unlimited follow-ups
• Complete import and export features
• Plus a host of other features!
Now that you now know about the awesomeness of email internet marketing and auto-responders, you can use this knowledge to become a more effective marketer.
Have fun gaining many new clients!
